Serve missing in action. She won just 4 points on her serve in sets 2 and 3.
No (updated) news about Wimbledon, she's still under the line at the moment.
What's next?

That's very disappointing, Soylu is surely beatable. She's no mug, but not a Top 100 player

Great to hear
Also about the new centre! Do we know what court surfaces there will be?

Hardcourts, I presume. 14 tennis and 10 badminton courts.

I wouldn't call it big but it's played and there are Olympians in badminton.

Kaia withdrew from Wimbledon
She said a fed days ago that she hopes she makes the Q cut off (right now she would be ALT1 but 99% sure to make it). I guess she chose to skip it because she had no preparation on grass, and I really hope not beacuse of some health problems.

Where did she say that?
Sad about the withdrawal, but oh well..
So, USO will be her last slam. I hope she'll make the trip and will be good enough to win a match or two as well.
In the meanwhile.. clay ITFs?

Thanks for the information
A new WTA International tournament in Switzerland? Sounds great, another clay tournament in the Alps. I hope Kaia gets a fair Q draw. She could do well there.
Btw, can't she ask for a QWC? I mean, I don't remember Kaia has ever received a WC in recent years.

Could be. But I think if she stays healthy and has some good runs, she can also continue next year.

Kaia doesn't seem keen on WCs. She surely would have gotten one at Wimbledon if she wanted.

Kaia not in Gstaad Q draw. I wonder if she has any health issues again
I wish she could give more information to her fans.

Kaia didn't enter USO Q
There is a meet and talk with Kaia on 10th August. I am scared she may announce the "R" word there

Pain in left heel since May and she hasn't played any tennis for 2 months. Said she doesn't know yet if she ever returns

Not surprised with her heel, wasn't her surgery supposed to "expire" around now?

It was supposed to expire a long time ago, end 2015/early 2016 I think.

It is sad.. fading away like this.
Though I can't even decide what is worse for a fan.. ending the career on the top (all the what-ifs), or slowly withdrawing.

Has Kaia's thread ever been this passive? It's sad. Even WhoAmI?'s duplicate post stands still
