Wow! What a great draw! Pierce will play Serena in round two (if she passes Shaughnessy) which should be a real test for Serena, esp. on clay. Karolina will get some nice quality points aginst my girl Maleeva. Navvy will play Brandi, which she should win, but I don't think she'll get past Petrova. I don't see anyone in Justine's half troubling her.

Wow, that draw is pretty exciting. Glad to see Amelie in that draw! I hope nobody will pull out at the last second.

I'm going to be torn with that match. I really like both of these players and want them both to enjoy successful comebacks.

I have CDO. It's like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, except in alphabetical order like it should be.

Possibly! I think this will be another test for Serena, to beat a Grand Slam champion. Perhaps the first REAL test of the year. We thought Elena was going to test Serena, but she was mentally out of it. Pierce might be able to bully Serena around, but I think Serena can win this one if she gets rid of the rust altogether. I'm just sad that they had to meet so early on as Pierce is one of my favorites too. I'm pulling for Serena as I wanna see Serena/Martina and Serena/Justine.

yea... but vera will be a tough qtr for anyone on clay, and dementieva/mauresmo semis may be tougher than rena playing lindsay on clay.

but for sure, early rounds the tough ones seem to be on the bottom

Hmmm..VERY interesting draw..this draw will be far from a cake walk for serena this time..brandi vs nav..i am not sure of Brandis clay court prowis..and how about DOKIC and my girl Frazier... who knows whiuch Dokic will show up and Fraziers worst service is clay...but we shall see how that serve holds up..also good luck to MISSY IRVINE, SAMANTHA REEVES, LINDSAY LEE, LAURA GRANVILLE, ( pierce and shaougnesy two of my faves ) th wta fashion plate Miss Drakes cakes, TARA SNYDER!!! and jenny hopkins!!!!!!
