Amelie out of Paris Open

BBC Teletext reports that Amelie has withdrawn from the Gaz, as she hasn't fully recovered from the injury

Disappointing news for her fans, but a sensible decision IMO, thatv she doesn't play here, and takes time to let the injury heal properly, and not mess up the rest of her season.

Thanks, esdee

I agree - it is the best thing she can do right now, not jeopardize the rest of the season.

Sad news but expected ... unfortunatelly Amelie is always a lock to have injuries during the year ... don't see her pulling a whole season without injuries! Then she has problems to find form and to adapt and just when she is in good form BOOM an injury! That must be so frustrating for her!

:sa:d this means she most liekly out of antwerp as well

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

Hi Linnie Just when I was thinking about making a little trip to Paris - oh well, c'est la vie!

The way things are going this year, I think the WTA should rename the YEC the Survival of the Fittest Championships and play it in a health spa at Baden-Baden
