Ana is a 23 y.o. Croatian tennis player with a current (career high) ranking of 193. Her favorite surface is hard, and current year win/loss record is 15-7. She won one singles and two doubles ITF titles, all back in 2003.
This week she plays in the main draw of Zagreb 75k, and her first round opponent is Nina Bratchikova, a 23 y.o. Russian ranked 213 (career high 197). A tough match, but hopefully Ana will find her way to a win.
Good luck

She holds to love
If she had done that in either of her last two service games this would be wrapped up right now though.
TB to decide Minsk winner.

YAS!!!! Ana takes the title, 3-6 6-4 7-6(7) saving Championship point returning at 5-6* in the TB!
She has a singles title after so long and will probably make AO cutoff!!!
Who saw this coming after her crappy first round:spit::lol:

She has a singles title after so long
Only the fourth singles title of her 10+ year-long pro career
A $10K in 2003, nothing for 8 years, then a $25K in 2011, 2013 and now 2014
Her 2004 year-end ranking--that's 10 years ago--wasn't much lower than it is now: #332
Stuck in place for so long

Wow, congrats Ana, hard fought and well deserved!
Would've sucked had she lost two finals in just a few weeks.
Melbourne is gettin' closer!

Was sure she was gonna be seeded. Now she'll probably have to beat Burger to get to AO...

She's down 3-6 *0-1 in her R2, lost the set after being 3-2*, and has hit 2 aces, no doubles, so not sure what's happening.
Missed a bp in the opening game of this set (her first in the match
, hope she can fight back

She has won the 2nd 6-3, after falling behind 3-6 1-3*, without having broken serve. Now it's a break-fest, and Ana is returning at 4-6 6-3 0-0*

Wrote that post but forgot to post, she has now sped through these two games, dropped one point, now 2-0* in the third

Ana won, 3-6 6-4 6-2
She is pretty much garunteed AO Q now, and is still in the hunt for a second straight title!
Would be great if she could work her way back into the top 200 again

Yup, but today she lost a set (6:3, 6:7, 6:3) to Ianchuk who is #294 at the moment so looks like her form might be getting shaky.
Anyway, good luck Ana!
