She seems to be talented, had lost in Zagreb to Hladikova who played a great match, attacking on every opportunity and not missing at all.
Ajla didn't play at all, she just couldn't relax at all.
Here's video of her groundstrokes from that match: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5cckl_ajla-tomljanovic-in-zagreb-challeng_sport
Yes very good effort from Ajla today in both matches, really great to see her through to the last 8 in women's doubles! I'm a bit bummed about Petra not being able to make it in that one cause I do think she needs matches a bit more than Ajla at the moment, but Gajdosova/Tomljanovic really put in a great fight, were active and agressive and certainly deserved it. Next they'll play Peschke/Srebotnik, the 4th seeds, who are favorites on paper, but so were many other teams against these two so you never know. I'm sure they're more than capable of at least a solid performnace.
As for the mix, Ajla's partner is very inconsistent and obviously rather inexperienced so Ajla could only help so much. Paes is of course a legend when it comes to doubles, but Daniela did her very best to give every chance possible to Ajla and James. Too bad they lost such a close one, but an extra match can't hurt either of them, so I see this as a positive still.
Now she gets a well-deserved day off, hope she uses it well and shows up to kick some ass on Tuesday
I doubt they will play again soon. Jarka's singles ranking is not high enough to enter WTA tournaments directly, also not for Q-draw of IW and Miami. But maybe at slams.
Is this girl seriously in the QF of the Aussie Open?!?! Keep it up Ajla Jarka is a GREAT doubles player especially in Australian Open so this is a nice run for them
