Re: Ajla Tomljanovic thread!

She's a very steady and composed player. She doesn't go through the wild highs and lows on the court that some other WTA players do. I've seen meltdowns take place in warmups, so this Croat is quite refreshing.

Also, she is quite a stunner: amazing tan! I'm in love. Again.

Re: Ajla Tomljanovic thread!

Ajla moves up 6 ranking spots this week, from 169 to 163.

Despite the fact that she hasn't lived up to our (high) expectations this year, Ajla is close to her CH ranking of 154. Moreover, she's not defending many points the rest of this year.

Re: Ajla Tomljanovic thread!

Ajla put on a good fight in the first 2 sets. Lost 4-6 7-5 6-1.. She saved 5MPs in the second set to come back and win the set 7-5. She was also ahead 3-1 in the first set.
She simply cant hold her serve to save her life, when it really matters the most.
She obviously never heard anything of "momentum" or "confidence", she doesnt seem to be focused at all.
She also gets pissed every time she misses a shot, shes totally inconsistent.

Though I have to admit that her game looks really great and smooth. Especially her BH is really powerful and a nice weapon.
On the FH side she still lacks kinda some power, her serve is good when its on, which happens pretty rarely.
I dont know but if she doesnt get her stupid head together I think well see her losing in final Q rounds for her whole career.

Dont know what matches you watched bro, I think you got a bit blinded by her ...
Watch her at this vid, getting pissed at 01.45 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xj6...-6-3-4-5_sport.
Thats just one vid, imagine her doing this in every match.
I saw her last 2 matches at Stanford and I got to say that stuff like this happens regulary, shes not focused at all.

Against Mijacika she was down a MP and somehow won second set 7-6 after losign first 6-2 and than she lost third 6-2.. And now this...

Wow, you are a skilled photographer. At least compared to me.

What camera and equipment are you using?

I use a point and shoot and the images come out all blurry and soft.

Re: Ajla Tomljanovic thread!

Ajla breaks back; it's now 6-5.

Ridiculous break-fest. Ajla has won 10 of 19 BPs in the match; Riske, 9 of 12.
