Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

there is a new article about her on ITF - http://beta.itftennis.com/procircuit...arch-2012.aspx
here's what Ana said : "I'm extremely happy for making it into the Top 600 within only one month. A 20-0 win-loss record makes it even sweeter. It's a great great start for me but still there's a long way to the top and I'm planning to keep up the good work and focus on coming tournaments."
she is gorgeous

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

Some WC will be great help, but thats not gonna happen. She must do everything by herselfe. Long, hard way.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

This challengers are getting stronger and stronger both in Europe and States.
I guess it's because many are being canceled due to financial problems. I remember when Lucic was playing 25k's in States few years ago there would be like one or two players from TOP200 in the draw, this year everybody who's directly in MD is top 200.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

And I always feel sorry for our girls because most of them doesn't have money to play some weak challengers. i mean, look at 25k caracas the same week- ana would probably be directly in md.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

Tunis is the only one 25000 of this week in a near zone (relatively) to Croatia. It will have very difficultly to play the qualy, but... can it receive of wild card?
In 25000 of Caracas (Venezuela) Ana would be 11 of alternates.
The following week 2 25000: Chiasso nd Moscow.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

Look at size of quali draw: tunis 64, moscow 32, chiasso 48. WC is usually for domestic players or if you have some agency agreement, like IMG (martić, tomljanović, ančić, lučić etc).

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

That's depressing to be 70th alt,
Will she still have to play more 10Ks?

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

From the ITF's "2012 - 1st quarter review" article: http://www.itftennis.com/procircuit/...er-review.aspx

Individual player stats reveal that Ana Savic of Croatia was the most successful singles player over the three months. The comeback queen - she only returned to pro tennis at the end of February after a three year absence - won four singles titles, all in Turkey and in consecutive weeks!

Savic's haul of four singles titles placed her just ahead of three male players; Radu Albot (Romania); Andis Juska (Latvia) and Sanam Singh (India) - who won a total of three singles titles each.

Re: Ajmo Ana Savic!

it would be ridiculous if she don't get in Qualis I don't think that's possible.
btw I wonder how Ana travelled the Europe last 3 years if she supposedly stopped playing because of the money problem!? 3 years ago she played in Japan and US when she could stayed and play in Europe what would be so much cheaper for her!also she must have money for staying in Antalya over a 1 month with a coach. I don't think prize money could cover a half.does anyone knows if she have any contract with sponsors now?
