Re: ~Petra Martic~

I'm thinking Petra was worn down by playing so much
tennis in such a short period; looks like she stomped
Majeric in the first set and then just wilted.

I'm glad she's not in Eastborne. She's played a lot
of tennis lately in two Nottingham events and could
use a rest before Wimbly. Here's hoping she gets a
fair draw there and can maybe get to the quarters. I
personally don't see anybody outside the top ten that
can reach the semi's and only the Big Three has any
chance to win there.

She gets bagelled by Majeric on grass and you're tapping her for Wimby QF

Re: ~Petra Martic~

This is definately a worrisome result. I just hope she didn't injure herself again or went through something similar, points are the least important thing now. I agree with jimmy55313 though, in that she probably just ran out of fuel after quite a few matches in a row following a long injury break. If that's the case then not entering Eastbourne is definately a smart decision cause nothing good would probably come out of it anyway. Now she's got enough time to properly prepare for what really matters.

Re: ~Petra Martic~

It seems like Petra is playing doubles with Bouchard on Wimbledon. That's nice, Bouchard won girls doubles Wimbledon last year with Townsend.

Well, that's an odd doubles team, but Bouchard is good at doubles.

Strange, considering it's Wimbledon...Venus must be going through something nasty, or they just want to focus on singles. But still, it's Wimbledon of all places

Anyway, good news for Petra!

Great first round draw against Tatishvili, she has to win this one.

Well, a draw about as good as she could've gotten. It's winnable, but it won't be easy. Of course, it won't be televised, but if Petra gets 100 points I'll find a consolation in that

Re: ~Petra Martic~

Well, I have to say, Petra has the best draw when it comes to our players, winnable first round, then Petrova who has been playing like crap lately, then Pavljučenkova, with a little bit of luck, she could go far, but let's don't get ahead of ourselves

There are 10 show courts for this year's Wimbledon. If she doesn't get one of those courts, you've just lucked out. Understandable tho', for this isn't a marquee match, nor a Brit playing. Yet, keep your fingers crossed.
