Brief report on Cindy Watson!

Hey, I just came home from the tonight session between Cindy Watson and Chanda Rubin! Before I went there, I expected Cindy Watson probably won't won a game like Maggie Maleeva did today against Conchita Martinez, however, she played really well! The entire crowd, obviously, cheered on her side. It's not only because the American player were struggled in the first set but the Aussie wildcard played like a Top 100 material! Rubin actually played well as usually. I'm so glad that they grant it to Watson instead a foreign player. I think she deserved to have a wildcard for the Australian Open based on that result!

Cindy Watson!!

I dont know about playing like a top 10 player but Cindy obviously was able to handle Rubins power. For what she lacks in power herself she makes up for in great anticipation, court speed and consistency.

I'd love to see Cindy get a wildcard to the Australian Open. She deserves one on this performance. Quite frankly she's in better form than Wheeler and Adamczak, the front runners for the main draw.

WTA Tour.com says Rubin started off really slow in the beginning?

Yeah? Cindy won the first two games then Chanda won the next three games. Would you called it a struggle?
