yes, ... they have to make a choice if they are skipping AO or not, Olga Baraschikova skipped AO qualifying just to lose the next day
Indeed, that is why some players become more doubles specialists. Must have been so frustrating for players in that situation. As suggested Olga last year must have had travel arrangements that required her to go to Melbourne, inspite of the fact it was too late to play. Olga was about the last person I expected to say hello to me while in Melbourne watching a 1st round match, she probably spent the time catching up with friends and sightseeing or something.
yes, and so are people who makes a run in Canberra/Hobart yet in AO qualies, they have to make a choice if they are skipping AO or not, Olga Baraschikova skipped AO qualifying just to lose the next day
Its good if you are having a good singles result and want to continue with the tournament, last year Sprem was playing Strasbourg and missed FO quallies but instead got to the final, which was a better result.
I dont like sometimes how players have to miss quallies bc they are playing doubles, thats why I dont really want Li/Sun to play doubles at Canberra or Hobart bc they will probbaly go deep into the tournament and miss AO quallies, just for a doubles match. But I guess they probbaly will play doubles
