This 14 yo (born July 11, 2001) from Bryansk has been having an impressive year so far!
Today, she's won her 4th title in a row, and 8th title this year overall.
Her titles this year include: 3 G14s (Smena Cup, Minsk Star and Belkanton Cup, all in Belarus), 2 G16s (Governor Cup of Belgorod Region in Russia, and Velcom Cup in Belarus), and 3 G18s (G5 Head Cup in Moldova in June on clay, where she had to qualify, and where she beat Victoria Dema 2 & 0 in the final; G5 Bishkek Sunrise Open last week in Kyrgyzstan on clay, where she beat 5th seed Kristina Sorokolet 1 & 1 in the final; G4 Bishkek Sunrise Open this week on clay, where she beat 4th seed Anna Ukolova 7-6(1) 6-4).
She beat Anna Ukolova, who is just outside the Top 500, twice in a row, last week and this week, both times in straight sets. She did the same with Kristina Sorokolet, who this week is in the Top 600. This week, she beat the 2nd seed Milana Lysova (#377, CHR 266) in R1, 3 & 2.
The first week of August, she was part of Team Russia (with Potapova and Pachkaleva) for the ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, which they won without losing a single match. Vlada didn't drop a single set all week. In the final, they beat the USA, and Vlada scored an impressive 2 & 4 win over Caty McNally (one of the best US young prospects, ranked #446 that week) in her singles match.
Here you can watch the match against McNally:
Some very promising wins and results, so.
Really looking forward now to seeing how she does when she moves up to G18s a bit stronger.
This week, she moved up to a CHR of 693 from outside the Top 1000 after winning the G5, let's see if she breaks into the Top 500 next week.
