I think Lena will have her best year in 2004. But I feel she won't peak until 2006. She lacks the experience the top players have.
I predict greatness. But not all at once.

No waiting 3 years.

Titles. Now.

Preferably, stop losing points in matches.

Aces. Return winners. Every point.

Just do it.

I hope she plays, I go every year. So it would be great to see her play. Also hope Nadia plays it as well. That would be a great final

This year Lena got 77 points at Gold Coast, 60 in Sydney, 200 at the AO, and 73 at the Pan Pacific. So a lot of points to defend early.
After that Lena can really make a move.
So I hope Lena starts strong and keeps on going in 2004.

Exactly.

I believe Lena was 6th or 7th in the race after Tokyo, last year... so lots to defend.

Exactly when do the commitment lists for the summer tournements come out?

Anyway, I hope Lena plays and does well at the Gold Coast

Commitments are out in the Gold Coast thread. As of now, Lena would be the 7th seed.

Lena is scheduled to play Gold Coast and Sydney again this year.

Sydney always comes up very tough. This is going to be a competitive year for everyone in the 8 - 20 range.
To make the Olympics, staying healthy is vital. No one can miss a month of points.

Sydney has another very strong field, like always.

No excuse not to get out of Sydney with at least a 1st round win, however. Lena has 60 points to defend... at least keep the majority of that.

You're right. A good week means she's playing great tennis.
An early exit means she's not drained physically or mentally for the AO.
