10K Izmir
Both Leykina and Frolova failed to win their QF matches.
Karen Barbat has mentioned Lysakova in a couple of her recent blogs. Karen says Lysakova is quite young but very talented and is really blasting the ball 'Sharapova-style'. Karen is sure we'll see much more to Lysakova in the future (Karen's blogs are here but in Danish only).
Addition: It's also woth mentioning that Anastasia Komardina (semi finalist in Finland last week) plays left handed - something which was also stressed by Karen. But you probably know that already (or may have seen it on her ITF profile).
Congrats to #11 Polina Monova (d. #6 Olga Doroshina, 57 64 61), #7 Natalia Orlova (d. #9 Anna Morgina) and #8 Tatiana Kotelnikova (d. #15 Nadiya Kolb) for qualifying!
