This is a cheering thread for Yana Sizikova.

The 18 year old had a impressive 2012, winning her first singles pro title, the 2012 10K Dijoubti hardcourt, and 6 doubles titles!

In 2013, she received her 7th doubles title, at the 10K Madrid claycourt, and reached the final of the 10K Sharm El Sheikh hardcourt on April 28.

She is currently ranked #536, and her current CHR is #511, reached on April 15.

I didn't realise that Yana had her own cheering thread (thanks @Phenomareva for opening my eyes ;) :p) so here are the posts about her last 2 weeks that I originally posted in the "all the other Russians" cheering thread:

Congrats to 1994 born Yana Sizikova on making the final of 10K El Kantaoui in Tunisia this week! :D :yeah:

This was her 4th final this year already, but sadly she lost them all. :sobbing:

1st final this year was at 10K SES in July, all the way from the qualies. But she lost to 18 yo 7th seed and fellow Russian Anzhelina Zhuravleva, 6-4 6-7(3) 6-7(5) in the final. :tears:  Big congrats to Anzhelina on her very first pro singles title though! :yeah:
2nd final was at 10K El Kantaoui in August, Yana was the 6th seed and lost to another fellow Russian, 2nd seed Margarita Lazareva in the final, 6-3 2-6 2-6. :[
3rd final was in SES again at the beginning of the month, she was the 5th seed and lost to unseeded Yuanyi Yu, 3 & 1 in the final.
And 4th final today in SES again: she was the 4th seed and lost to 2nd seed Caroline Roméo in the final, 3-6 6-1 0-6. :sobbing:

She's also made 2 more SFs in SES this summer. Very good year for her! :yeah:

Tough luck in finals this year, but it was another good week for Yana (with a notable good win over 5th seed Joséphine Boualem - who won the title there 2 weeks ago and made the final again last week - 5-7 6-4 7-5 in QF :yeah:) and hopefully she can grab her 4th career singles title before the end of the year! :awww: She's playing again in EK next week :bounce:
Yana made the SFs again this week in EK, but she retired at 1-6 1-4 in her SF match against top seed Valentini Grammatikopoulou today (she was the 4th seed this week again )
Great couple weeks! :yeah:

Yana made another final in EK last week, and that was another lost final for her :sobbing:

She was the 3rd seed, beat (Q)Andrea Lippe 0 & 1 in R1, (Q)Claudia Cianci 1 & 4 in R2, (8)Magali Kempen 5-7 6-3 6-2 in QF, and Kyra Schroff 6-3 4-6 6-1 in SF, lost to (2)Kathinka Von Deichmann 5-7 7-5 2-6 in the final :[

0/5 in finals this year :tears: She hasn't won a singles title since 2013...

Re: Yana Sizikova!!

Yana is having a terrific run in Moscow this week  Right from the qualies, she's through to the final of the 25K!

She was the 5th seed in qualies, beat Anastasia Rudakova 7-5 6-1 in Q1, and 16th seed Valeriya Urzhumova 1 & 2 in Q2.
Then she beat (WC)Aleksandra Pospelova (who was in the junior Top 20 at the beginning of the year) 1 & 2 in R1, Anna Bondar (former junior #15, WTA 365, she upset 3rd seed Komardina in R1) 6-3 3-6 6-3 in R2, Alena Tarasova 6-7(4) 6-3 6-4 in QF, and today she dismantled top seed Elise Mertens (Top 200 player) in SF, 1 & 0 :bolt: :worship:

She will face 2nd seed and fellow Russian Irina Khromacheva (Top 200 as well) in the final :bounce:

I've never watched Yana play so I'm very intrigued, I didn't see that coming at all! I'll definitely try and watch the final. Irina wasn't exactly impressive in the little bits of her matches that I could catch (basically, still doing absolutely nothing with the ball), so I'll be interested to see how Yana deals with her :)
