She is a 14 year old junior from Russia who is coming onto the Junior tour quite well, winning a few singles and doubles titles. Her and Erika Hendsel (who are BFFs and doubles partners) are my favourite team and they won a G4 in Malta, as well as a semi final after that. Maria is especially good on clay, winning a G4 then a final in a row, also a G5 and a G5 Final. She is around the 200 mark and has a bright future.
Last week she made second round of a G2, losing to Rosatello (I think a finalist)
She got a SE this week into a G2 in Italy but sadly lost first round 63 64
Still a great performance
She made F of G2 Slovak Junior Indoor Tournament 2 weeks ago (lost to (7)Nina Stojanovic 4-6 6-2 4-6); and QF of G1 Czech International Junior Indoor Championships last week, defeating Werbrouck and Lushkova in straights, before losing to (6)Alina Silich in QF, 3 & 2.
Masha is back on track since last week, played G1 Banana Bowl in Brazil last week. She was Seed 11, had a bye in R1, beat (Q)Maria Herazo Gonzalez 4-6 7-6(4) 6-3 in R2 and lost 3 & 3 to Louisa Chrico, the eventual winner.
This week, she's playing in Brazil again, GA Copa Gerdau. She's Seed 13 this week, beat Ivone Alvaro 3 & 0 in R1. R2 is against Ingrid Gamarra Martins
