Terrible draw. But Lindsay might be off her best form now.

I saw Lindsay play against uhm...who was it again?

Anyway, she looked far from impressive...She won on routine but if she plays like that against Elena and if Elena manages to perform well...I give Elena a very good chance...

Lena lost 7-6(7) 6-2. She played pretty well, and kept holding serve throughout the match. Lena had a set point in the first, and was so close to getting it. Then at 2-2, Lena had 2 BP's, and couldn't convert. Then, frustration ensued, tank, suck, lost, end.

Lena played well, and gave a good effort. All in all, I'm pleased. If Lindsay keeps serving like that, nobody is taking a set from her all tournament.

Now, rest for indoor season. Should have a Top 4 seed in Hasselt, and there's a good chance we can pick up our 4th title.

i just saw a replay of the match, elena did well. she wasnt being pushed around or anything to much and was holding her own but in the end, during the 2nd set she just started making a few to many unforced errors. wally masur kept commenting on her 2nd serve saying it had all these faults etc and it is something for her to work on and he had a point to a certain degree, like she did almost every 2nd serve, serve it to lindsays forehand but besides that it had nice pace and placement. wally kept commenting on how she sliced the 2nd serve and that a real coach would have picked up on that quickly and changed it, he also said he wonders whether nick b's acadamy is really a coaching acadamy or just a place for kids to hit loads of tennis balls because they have such great groundies and do amazing shots but he is amazed by how poor other aspects of their games are eg slicing the 3nd serve, not being able to do a kick serve.

wasnt a bad performance and elena had her chance, a win would have been nice but she is playing well and i think she can hold down a spot in the top 15 if she stays injury free.

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.

It's great that Elena is back healthy and competitive. I would like to have cheered her on but unfortunately Henman was playing at the same time and I had no choice
