Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa has a tough draw in Miami.
Probably Errani, who almost beat Jankovic, then Zvonareva.
Alisa has to be able to play well late in these tournaments.
That was a real good opportunity in California, and Alisa ran out of gas after a day off.

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa treated nearly 100 kids from Special Olympics to photos, autographs & a behind the scenes look at the Sony Ericsson Open

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa won her doubles match with Fran. Its not a bad idea to play with a veteran.
You should ask her what you can do to improve your singles.
Fran has been on the tour a long time. She probably knows as much as most coaches

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa's match was suspended by darkness at 46 *53
So she has to finish tomorrow, then Vera or Oudin to the winner

Nah, it should be resumed in a bit. I think it takes them some time to get the lights going. Another match that had been suspended due to darkness resumed play a bit ago and in fact just finished.

Still no resumption of play. It's been over 35 minutes. The lights should be on by now. Play is going on all the courts on the scoreboard except for one where the match just finished.

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

There must be a problem with the lights at that court
If Alisa had her own twitter, she could tell us WTF is going on

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa lost 4 games after the delay, 46 57.
What Alisa has to concern herself about is falling apart in the middle of matches.
Thats 2 matches in a row she was up a break in set 2 and got rolled.
Now she has a vacation. Just doubles. She needs lots of fitness work

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Terrible loss to Vinci. Double faults at 65 in the tb, then up a break in set 2 and
loses 67 67.
Just choke after choke. Alisa just gives matches away

Being a break up in a set and losing hardly counts as a choke

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

When you serve at 65 in the tb against a player outside the top 50 and double fault, it's not playing well when it matters

Re: Alisa Kleybanova cheering thread

Alisa won her 1st round match. Sveta and Vika are out and Caro is limping.
There is no reason Alisa should not be in the SF.
She plays Peer in round 2
