Just S.D. and Montreal? We were in both finals, exhausted after evening all Russian semis.

3 different slam winners, and only Anastasia has won a Tier I. The 2003 Kremlin Cup. The only Russian Tier I title, ever.

Two questions:

a) Which Russian player will complete The Russian Slam in Melbourne?
b) Which of three Russian GS holders will win her second Slam first?

Your answers, please.

3 straight majors. 2 of them all Russian finals. It's really an amazing achievement.
Friday's semifinals were awesome.
The world will have to get used to all Russian finals. We're not going away. We're getting stronger.
Sveta won her 4th title, second of 2004 (Eastbourne).

The next step is to win more one week tournaments. Three majors in a row, but only 6 other titles all year. And no Olympic medals at all.
We need to dominate every week, not just the majors.

Sveta plays the Bali final against Weingartner tomorrow. If she wins, it's Sveta's third 2004 title, and fifth overall.
And the tenth Russian title of 2004.

In 2004, Russians have won the last 3 majors.
No Tier I's.
Elena B., Anastasia, and Svetlana each won a Tier II.
Svetlana, Maria, and Vera Z. won Tier III's.
Elena L. won a Tier V. It was after she reached the final or Tier I Montreal.
