Arrow Karina Pimkina Cheering Thread

I don't see a thread for Karina, so I will make one for her. She is 17 years old (03/17/1991) and is currently ranked 116 in the ITF junior rankings, although she was just Top100 earlier this month.

She is in Junior Open der Stadt Wels (G1) this week.

1R: Pimkina d. [WC] Auer 6-2 6-2
2R: Pimkina d. [3] Tomljanovic 6-2 3-6 6-3

Awesome win for Karina over Alja who is ranked #39 in ITF junior rankings.

All the best in your career Karina!

Re: Karina Pimkina Cheering Thread

I guess I should give a little bit of information about how I have noticed her.

In TENNIS magazine here in the US, they did a story about two promising juniors from Bolletieri, and Karina happened to be one of them. There were a couple of really attractive pictures of her that I will try to scan because I can't find them on the net. I will maybe scan the whole article and not just cut out the picture, who knows.

I don't think she will be Top100 or anything, but she seemed like a nice girl and was really hot, so I'm gonna cheer for her.

Re: The Karina Pimkina Cheering Thread

3R: Pimkina d. [15] Lemoine 6-2 1-6 6-3

Another good win.

QF: Pimkina d. [7] Toljan 6-2 7-6

What an event for Karina, easily the best of her career. She is knocking out seeds left and right.

Re: The Karina Pimkina Cheering Thread

Karina lost in the semifinal to #1 seed and eventual champion Lesley Kerkhove 6-0 6-4. Still, this was the best week of her career and I hope she builds on it.

Over at Pivovarova's forum. She visits sometimes and I guess sends some of the pictures to the admin.

Re: Karina Pimkina Cheering Thread

I guess it is time for a bump.

Karina has only played two tournaments since the SF mentioned above, losing quite early in each.

USTA ITF South Carolina 08 (G2)

64 (4) Karina Pimkina d. Belinda Niu 4-6; 6-0; 6-1
