SHARKY, whatever you do, wrap up warm
Espescially if you go in winter.
I'm thinking of going in a few years, after college.
I saw a program on Russia a couple of days ago, the program was called 'Loney Planet' and it was on Discovery Travel chanel or whatever its called.
It is a kind of holiday program with a differance. They show countries that most people wouldn't think of visiting eg. Russia, Uzbekistan, Kirgistan, Sri Lanka etc.
Anyway it said the best place to go is the Moscow Kremlin and all the wonderful buildings around there.
The 'onion' domes on top of the buildings were quite cool looking. It showed Lenin in his tomb thing and it said he'll probably be buried sooner rather than later.
The people of St. Petersburg seemed very wierd. It showed aload of them 'sunbathing' in the freezing cold wearing only their underwear. WIERD.
The St. Petersburg police seemed a bit hostile towards the presenter. One police officer even tried to arrest him for crossing the road. Is crossing the road illegal in Russia or something?
Anyway SHARKY, my advice is: Learn the basics of the Russian language, and wear warm clothes.
