I am completely shocked that only 2 active Russian players won at least one WTA title. The rest in the WTA Russian ranking have not won a WTA title. That's amazing!
ANASTASIA MYSKINA is the youngest active player to win a WTA title at age of 18 (about one week after 18th birthday).
LIKHOVTSEVA, ELENA is the second youngest (about one month after 18th birthday).
Let's hope Safina has two years to become the youngest to win.... and Sharapova has three years left. Let's go, RUSSIAN GIRLS! I think they both have a good chance.
Correct if I am wrong, Maria Sharapova is the youngest player in the list of Russian WTA ranking.
I wonder if any retired Russian players has won before their 18th birthday. Anyone know?
I can't believe it! We have to make our great effort to support our Russians. It's a long overdue since 1999 when Myskina won. Poor them. *head down*
C'MON, RUSSIAN GIRLS! WAKE UP!
