The 2005 German Open

Last year, Anastasia and Svetlana made the quarters.
They both went on to win majors.
No Russian reached the semi-finals in 2004.
It's the first Tier I on red clay in 2005.

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter....
Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there
Enjoy This Moment!!

This easily could be taken as a Russian assault over Berlin as 7 of the top 8 seeds are Russian, if Momo (injury?) and Serena will pull out.
1) Sharapova
2) Dementieva
3) Myskina
4) Kuznetsova
5) Zvonareva
6) Petrova
7) Schnyder
8) Bovina

I can't think of a witty signature right now. I like turtles.

It seems Mauresmo will play after all. Dementieva is out according to http://morgenpost.berlin1.de/content...rt/750563.html

Masha may face Henin again and a re-match of Sveta against Clijsters is possible.

Zhenya has a tough draw too.
Sharapova has reached 11 straight semis. She probably has to beat Justine to make it 12.
