That's a nice effort. Good luck to her in the main draw.

CONGRATS Olga for defeating Irina Falconi, 76(5) 67(2) 63!

Her last main draw win was against Monica Adamczak at the AO in 2008.

Very happy for her, Bertens next

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Double-breadsticked by Errani, but great tournament, now on the cusp of the Top 100 again

Re: OLGA POUTCHKOVA Cheering Thread!!!

Olga goes from getting to the 3rd round of the USO as a qualifier, to being defeated by #315 ranked Polina Pekhova in the 2nd round of Tashkent qualies, 64 67(4) 57. Polina had 28 double faults! How could she lose this?

Re: OLGA POUTCHKOVA Cheering Thread!!!

I think that Olga is a player that knows her value and doesn't play that well on sucky tournaments' qualifying draws... That might be how her mind actually works Thank God she's back in the top 100

Great start in singles. I think this will really be a chance for Olga to regroup and gain some confidence. I also read she has returning to Maryland to train. This is where she was training when she rose to right around the top 30 in the world. Maybe she is really going to dedicate herself again. I hope she is going to turn her career around!
If there's anyone interested I found this footage
