Arrow 7 Jan : Courtside report and picture

Disappointed that the battle of love match didn't happen today. The Burswood Dome was packed with lot of tennis fans. They came to support Australian team and to watch the love match. Unfortunately Kim sprained her ankle and retired.

The 1st set is no problem, Kim won 6-3. 2nd set Alicia fought back and lead 4-1, 5-2. Alicia wasted so many set points (6 SP). At tie-break, Kim was leading 6-2 and should won the match. But Alicia never give up, she fought back again, she just kept the ball in play and made Kim to play the point. Finally Alicia saved 4 match points and won the 2nd set 7-6(5). The 3rd set, Kim leads 3-2 then she called injury time out because she sprained her ankle and she could not continue playing. Finally Alicia won 3-6,7-6(5),2-3

Went to Autograph Island, taken picture with Myskina and got her autograph.

The night session match start at 5:30 pm between USA vs France. Before the match start I watched Lindsay practicing with her coach, she was hitting the ball better than she did on Monday. Momo could not do nothing if Lindsay is on fire. Her ground stroke is her trade-mark and she did super good today. Hit the ball so deep, powerful shot and accuracy. She attacked Momo’s backhand a lot. Momo tried to keep the ball low every time with slice backhand, she tried to serve and volley at net but Lindsay hit a couple beautiful sharp angle passing shot. Lindsay broke serve one game each set, won the match 6-4,6-4. Totally I would say she is different player from Monday when she played Barbora of Czech Rep. She seems very happy with the way she played today.

Here below is some today's pictures.

Have fun

jirobkk, thank you so much for all your reports and photos - they are much appreciated
