Eggy, don't be over confident!

Are there any articles or interviews about Vera from Roland Garros?

Schiavone is a level above Matevzic and Marrero...but Vera can win

Too bad she has to keep beating other favorites of mine along the way but if she wins on Saturday I wouldn't mind her taking out Serena

Four Russians left...all in different quarters...how about an all-Russian Final Four

Although I'm hoping for an Uzbek champion

Well done Vera! Except for blowing that second set, that is!

She won't have a day off to rest for Serena, who is crushing her opponents as if they were junior girls!

There better be an interview with Vera! Or I'll be furious!

I`m not that optimistic to consider Vera`s chances against Serena. I just hope she will give her a real fight, not lose in a 0:6, 0:6 manner.

Vera's performance in this grand slam so far has been great... qualifying and winning three rounds! What a debut!
I just hope when she plays Serena, she doesn't let herself be intimidated. I also hope she doesn't try to keep up with her at the baseline, because that's what most players do against her and it doesn't work. She needs to use her head. Remember, there has been a female qualifier in the quarterfinals of the French for the last couple of years so you never know....

Udachi Vera!

A rare Vanity sighting in Russian Roulette! Is this your first time here?

And you're right. Vera's performance has been great at this years French Open. But how can she not be intimidated by the S-Train, Serena Williams? I'm sure Vera has never played anyone as strong and as fast as Serena. Nor has she ever played anyone with as intimidating a physique as Serena. I just hope Vera can be competitive against Serena.

This is her best win of her brief career to date.

A great fighting win when she had it in the bag after around 1 hour.

Very impressed she hung in there when it was easy to throw in the towel like alot of more experienced players have done in the past.

That was a GUTSY win.
well done Vera and don't be too nervous tomorrow, just use your head

Play strong and stay calm

I hope Vera will leave a lasting impression on Serena with a really close match, if she doesn't win. But, of course, I want Vera to win. Serena may try her stare down thing to intimidate that doesn't work.

Go Vera !!!!

Davenport, Capriati, Molik, Golovin, Seles, Clijsters, Myskina, Dementieva, Groenefeld, Frazier, Sprem, Hantuchova, Peschke, Dulko, Ivanovic, Smashnova, Likhovtseva, Vaidisova, Zvonereva, Schiavone, Pennetta

Best Wishes to VERA against Serena! She will do just fine, win or lose. She is rising! Quite impressed with her performance at RG

By the way, what clothing sponsor is she wearing?? I guess not.

Omigod, she plays Serena next! Damn't! I like Serena, A LOT! But this girl is growing on me. She reminds of Kim for some reason, not just based on appearance (yeah though, I find her more attractive than Kim too). Well, we will have to see her play here in the states, because they only show Americans, like they care about the opponent but sometimes it is good for real American tennis fans who know beyond the Williams sisters, Anna K and Agassi to see non-Americans play someone big like the Williams or Capriati just so we can see them for Christ's sake.

Irish, I agree! Lasting impression, although you really have to have WEAPONS to make impressions on the sisters. They are just so stubborn in the way they play--and intimidating. If Vera played the match of her life, I would be so relieved that finally someone can stand up to a Williams sister! LOL! Also, I don't want our commentators getting cocky braggy, ugh

She's wearing Nike but these clothes are of last years collection so I guess she doesn't have a clothing sponsor.
