clay courts in China?

hmmm...so this may be completely random or whatever, but I recently saw pics of Na Li, Zheng Jie and Yan Zi playing on clay courts in China. was wondering -as naive as i may seem- if there were many clay courts in China? perhaps anyone who lives there could let me know? i know there are predominantly hard courts there but was wondering if clay was also a popular surface?
and grass?
lol, random i know, was just curious

Re: clay courts in China?

there were new ones built in Cheng Du, Sichuan i believe, relatively recently to give top quality training facilities back in China as ordered by the CTA

Sun Tian Tian
2 Top-10 wins (Serena Williams and Patty Schnyder)
1 Singles Title (Tashkent '06, defeating Azarenka, Tulyaganova)
13 Doubles Titles (including 2004 Olympic Gold and 2008 AO Mixed)
Career High 77 (Singles) and 16 (Doubles)
