Chinese Girls In Shanghai

China Prepare for French Open[img][/img]2006-04-17 17:12:20 CRIENGLISH.com[img][/img]The Chinese women's tennis team has arrived in Shanghai to prepare for the upcoming French Open.

The team comprises Li Na, Peng Shuai and Australian Open doubles champions Zheng Jie and Yan Zi as well as Athens Olympics doubles champions Li Ting and Sun Tiantian. All six players will try to compete in the women's singles while the two pairs are seeking further honors. Part of the team will travel to Indonesia for the Fed Cup World Group II competition against the hosts over the weekend.

Why are the girls in Shanghai? Are there red clay courts there to practice on?

Yeah,a small towm in Shanghai has a lot of red clay courts,and it's not so noisy.
So they chose there to prepare clay season.

Where did you get the info. Please check it again.

There are only two red clay courts in Shanghai now.
By the way, i have 7 years experience in Shanghai.

Really??I've read a report in Titansports said,"There are several red clay courts and hard courts for national team."
So I guess there're many clay courts in Shanghai.
I think u are right.You had lived there for 7 years after all.

Seven years.Wow!that's two-fifths of my whole living experience!
