Japanese TV tennis drama- "Aim for the ACE" (Ace ni Nerao)?

It aired from Jan-March 2004 in Japan on Asahi-TV.
Did anyone watch this show?

It looks highly entertaining. It's supposed to be based on
a hit comic book, but this TV version seems to have combined
the lives of the WTA especially - Justine, Dokic, Daniela,
Kim, Alexandra Stevenson and the Russian players.

It's suppose to take place in a highschool. From the looks
of the episode guide there's alot of WTA type scenes where
the heroine Hiromi get's picked on by her fellow tennis players,
sort of get's ditched by her doubles partner, loses her best friend
who's not a tennis player, doesn't seem to have a mother, but
there's a mentor/father/lover figure type coach, Hiromi's
seems to get injured alot, over trains and gets sick ,a former
highschool tennis player comes back after she quit and went off to Australia, there's even talk of entering the US OPEN in the finale.

I was surprised to see this pic of KIMIKO DATE! She visited the
cast on the set. Geez, even Shuzo Matsuoka get's a cameo on this
show as a tv tennis commentator!

This comic was very popular in 70s, and there was a drama in 70s too. It's a revival.

I am sure Kimiko grew up reading/watching this.
