Red face money back

If this tournament is going to offer this type of dough should it protect itself from blowouts by taking money out of the loser's cheque?I feel that this was a huge embarrassment:
  1. it's in "they could care less LA" and had crappy attendence ALL week.
  2. the final was a humiliating DISASTER
Public relations wise, wouldn't it benefit the tour if MoMo had to give up some of the money and ppl got at least part of their money back.
