does anyone know when frazier plans to retire?
she's been around for sooooooooooooo long!
usually players nowadays have a career span of 8-10 years- amy's nearly double that!!

It is a good thing to my mind that some players (Nat Tauziat, Lori McNeil, Martina Navratilova...) have very long carrer.
Currently Amy is competitive. Why retiring, if she feel happy to play?

I know for a fact that she will play atleast one more season. She is still ranked #61 which can get her into most tournys.
Don't forge..amy also missed 2 and a half months last year do to an ankle injury..so she wil have lots of points to gain during the spring of next year
Plus after all that..she has still made $150,000 so far this year...

Good luck, Amy! I though she might play in Quebec as she has been a finalist there.

well i have alot of respect for frazier sticking around as long as she has. unfortunately i dont think we'll see many more players have a career as long as hers.
i was surprised she didnt play the japan open this year, she usually always enters that tournament. she would have gained direct entry aswell but decides to try and qualify in the european tournies- which she didnt.
it would have been frazier, not kapros who would have challenged sharapova for the title. i think anyway.......

True..but she did Qualify for the SWISSCOM 25 pts for Qualifying and 38 pts for winning in the maindraw..not to shabby... But didn't they take off the japan tourney she played in and reached the semis last year ??
She lost to serena in the semis ( 6-3, 7-5 ) ..this was a tier 2 tourney that serena did win last year and Jill Craybas won this lower tier japan tourney last year that is still on the schedule...

i forgot about zurich- she beat conchita- good win!

they took away the major hardcourt tournament in japan and replaced it with shanghai.
the lower tokyo tournament has been played- sharapova bt kapros in the final.
