Getting more ready for the Olympics and conditions on Brazil hard courts  . Maybe hoping for a good result in singles (too) , like other players. IDK.
Injury permitting, Annika wants to play Gstaad, Bastad, Montreal, Florianopolis and the Olympics. I'm exhausted just thinking about the travel involved.

So will this have a Saturday final.... or even a Friday one?? How will they schedule this since the Olympic event has singles and dubs first rounds on Saturday and Sunday?

Do any of you guys know which rankings does this tournament use to make its MD and Q lists? I mean, they make the acceptance lists but based on rankings from how many weeks prior to the beginning of the qualy? A month (like a GS) or later? Maybe there's a general WTA-level rule that I'm missing.

6 weeks for MD and 3 for Q. Just as you see the dates from the MD and Q posts from here.
It's a general rule ! Except for Grand Slams qualifying where it's 4 weeks before the MD and for WTA 125ks where it's 3 weeks before the MD for both MD and Q lists.
No. And I didn't formulate it in that way. Unless you know otherwise. I don't have MD Alts after Q deadline . She was on the MD list at the MD deadline, but even Alts #2 and #3 (Cepelova and Mertens) withdrew till qualies list was released, so ...
Hopefully she won't make it here because she'll be doing well in Lexington doubles, but could be a good pay-off if she makes the trip for doubles. I imagine a lot of girls won't want to play in case they lose r1/r2 of singles and can get straight over to Rio.
