Arrow Tanasugarn(THA) VS Dementieva(RUS) : What do you think ?

This is their first meeting in WTA tour.

Head to Head : Elena leads 1 : 0

Hong Kong Exhibition 2002
Elena Dementieva d. Tamarine Tanasugarn 5-7,6-4,6-4

I watched the Hong Kong Exhibition match between Tammy and Elena LIVE on TV. Both players played well, hit the ball hard both FH and BH. Tammy won the 1st set 7-5 and took a lead 3-0 in 2nd set but she let Elena came back into the match, Elena took the 2nd set 6-4. Again Tammy lead 4:2 in the 3rd set and could not keep it up. Finally Elena won 5-7,6-4,6-4.

Here below is the link to the LIVE score which I've been posting 1 year and 9 months ago. http://www.wtaworld.com/showthread.p...8&page=1&pp=40

Actually Tammy love playing hard hitting player like Elena. I think if Tammy can cut down UE and play consistent she would win tomorrow. Elena is a great player and play great tennis lately. It will be tough to beat her.

Good luck to both girls tomorrow.

Elena played Tammy in HK (another Asian country) and still won. Elena in 2003 is a completely different player to what she was then.

I think Elena actually hits the ball harder now and moves so well.

Elena should take this in two. Whichever way it goes, Elena should win!

I saw Tammy beat Hantuchova, and Tammy played good tennis. I expect a close match.
But I think Lena is stronger off the ground. And I don't think Tammy has the weapons, if Lena is on her game.

I watched Elena vs Jennifer in US Open 2003. I just reallized that Elena has very weak second serve. ( I don't mean Tammy has better serve than Elena.) She hit very weak slice second serve and most of the ball direction go to Jennifer FH and she also made so many DF.

I would love to see Tammy hit super good ground stroke and play consistent tennis today.

Good luck to both girls.
C'mon Tammy.
Give us a good match Elena.

I saw Tammy lose to Mauresmo and Tammy was pathetic. One match means nothing.

Yes I agreed "Tammy was pathetic" against Momo on that day. Tammy accepted her loss and gave an interview that Momo played good tennis comparing to the previous meeting. She said the match was more cloased than the scoreline indicate (2-6,2-6) because every games went to duece. It seems like Tammy didn't serve well and she had 7 BP but can convert only one. (Momo had 8 BP and can convert 5 someting like that)

Momo vs Tammy : H2H
Momo leads 3 : 1

2001 Wimbledon Grass (O) 32 Tamarine TANASUGARN 4-6 4-6
2002 Australian Open Hard (O) 32 Amelie MAURESMO 7-6(3) 6-1
2003 Indian Wells Hard (O) 32 Amelie MAURESMO 6-3 5-7 6-2
2003 U.S. Open Hard (O) 16 Amelie MAURESMO 6-2 6-2

C'mon Tammy do your best, does not matter you win or loss we are all behind you.

It was the only match I've ever seen Tammy play.
It's like football. You have to prepare for your opponents best effort. And hope they don't bring it on this day.

Tammy in straight sets. Elena is due for a loss like this. Take some time off, also.
