Typical that now Vika has finally entered these International tournaments she doesn't seem to need them that much anymore. Still a long way to go in the AO to really gauge where she is but she seems at least fit/in form enough for the Middle Eastern swing (where she's historically done quite well) rather than the Mexican MMs.

Watson's failure to defend most of her points in Hobart must have cost her a place in the main draw. I can't see any reason why she'd enter Acapulco and not here. I suppose she might still get straight in given the likely spate of withdrawals the week before IW.
Oh I forgot about that but she still would have time to get to the ME . Probably smart not to though. I doubt she'll actually play Monterrey though since it's right before IW.
After withdrawing from here, she (Knapp) will have a SR (Special Ranking) at #45, which she can use 8 times (under certain rules) in 12 months after she returns
oh, great to know (LOL I just replied to you in the other thread without knowing that XD ops!)
at least she is sure to be in Olympics (she totally deserves it, after Beijing and London messes )
Thanks for that
I was thinking she may have a pr
Pretty good to have a ranking for 60 having not played t.since the U.S. Open
Karin has had bad starts over the last few years I guess
Only for Romanians I know they aren't any. But if she is signed up with her SR (#154) , she should be Alt #2 at maximum, after *Glatch (*if she's there) and we shall find out soon.
With her normal ranking (#204) there would be chances if we take in consideration the amount of withdrawals from last year.
Doesn't have to be necessarily on the list to get a WC. She's also in a pic on the Tournament Facebook for some kind of "behind the scenes" contest. We'll see.
