Alicia in Philadelphia

interestingly alicia hasnt withdrawn from here. i would have thought it would have been nice to end the yr on a high note with the 2 consecutive titles, but she may aswell milk her current form as much as she can i guess. i just hope she isnt too tired and jetlagged to perform to the best of her ability.
in the first round she will face weingartner, then the winner of jankovic and vento, and then sharapova in the QFs
good luck alicia !!

I wanna join this thread because I have turned into a believer of Molik

Go Molik

She can win this title! She can easily make it to the final with a little bit of luck.

Venus vs. Mauresmo QF.
Sharapova vs. Molik Qf.

If Venus and Alicia win, Alicia could easily beat Venus.

She won't be tired. She had a month off in Melb before jetting over to Zurich to kick some arses.

I'm not as confident as SWVWlover though. Beating Sharapova, Mauresmo and V Williams will be very tough... but she's in the form of her life right now!

I totally agree! And remember she said last week that usually around this time she is tired but being on this great run is I guess like a high for her and she said she wanted to keep going! So it will be tough but why not capitalise on her good form? Plus it's good for her fitness to push herself before the off season.

GOODLUCK Alicia!!
