Unhappy Wartusch withdrawal

from the official site :

Patricia Wartusch withdraws due to ankle sprain.
05.08.2003

Katalin Marosi of Hungary plays Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain on court 1. Wartusch had to withdraw due to an ankle sprain, and so, as lucky loser, Marosi got into the singles main draw. Due to this walkover, Perebiynis/Talaja are already in the doubles semifinals.

She finished her doubles match - so, do you think she is resting it instead? but that she'll be OK for the US Open?

Didnīt saw what happened. But she showed with her hand that it went like 90 degrees to wrong direction and then back

Yes it was in doubles. Donīt know what they spray to it (happens in soccer a lot) so that works ok for a while. Obviously got worse after the match.
