I don't understand Spanish, but through a translation, if I am reading that right, I think it says she is going to have *another* surgery soon to repair a deviated septum for breathing problems? I had that several years ago--one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't envy her having to go through that. I hope it goes well for her. Poor Garbiñe. Get well soon!

I don't have bad memories from deviated septum surgery, so hopefully Garbiñe's experience is more like mine than like yours.

Glad to hear the ankle surgery went well, hopefully she can start recovery soon.

Re: Garbiñe Muguruza

I had this surgery two years ago and it was great for me too. Feeling the air all the way up through my nose when breathing was unbelievable

I just meant the recovery part. Waking up from surgery, struggling to breathe through your mouth, and having the doctor pull all the packing out of your nose with a pair of forceps while you're dazed and confused is pretty bad--especially when he tells you to hold the drip pan to catch all the blood. Maybe the procedures are better today. It felt like a pair of cigars stuck up my nose though, while he was trying to pull all that packing out. And then your nose feels broken for a week or two while it heels.

Let's put it this way--I wouldn't go through it again. But I hope you're right, and that hers is a much better experience.

That was pretty disgusting, it's true, but the breathing feeling just after that was great

Big fan of Garbine. Have only just joined up on TF properly so it's so nice to see there are people who believe in her as much as I do. Watched her live this year v Sharapova and her first round too, she's going places this girl

Re: Garbiñe Muguruza

Garbine is back! Here's her Auckland draw:

(4)Cirstea v Q
McHale v Muguruza
(wc)Hlavackova v Williams
Meusburger v (7)Barthel

She has no points to defend.

BARBIE
is coming for your towel, too.
