It can't be that simple though. It's not like a tap that she can just turn on and off. Part of the problem may just be how hard she is having to work to get through matches, if every match starting from R1 is requiring full mental application to win, it's inevitable you will come unstuck eventually. I get the feeling not a lot comes easy to Caro anymore, she has very few matches she can go out there, play at 50% and cruise through.
It's always a question really do you lose your hunger and desire because you started losing (more often), or did you start losing more often because you lost your hunger and desire.
In terms of game style, I don't think things have ever really came that easily for Caro though.
There's been a lot of running and long points with not a lot of cheap points like from the serve even in better times.
I think it's more a function of losing of your hunger and desire.
