Even though she'd already retired when my parents hadn't even met , I still have some information about her

* reached 1979 Australian Open QF (first Belgian in Open era?)

*
WTA win / loss 1972: 0 / 2 (0% / 100%)
WTA win / loss 1973: 0 / 2 (0% / 100%)
WTA win / loss 1974: 0 / 2 (0% / 100%) (6 losses in a row, maybe there's a future for Elke after all )
WTA win / loss 1975: 4 / 4 (50% / 50%)
WTA win / loss 1976: 1 / 4 (20% / 80%)
WTA win / loss 1977: 1 / 4 (20% / 80%)
WTA win / loss 1978: 2 / 8 (20% / 80%)
WTA win / loss 1979: 2 / 1 (67% / 33%)
WTA win / loss 1980: 1 / 4 (25% / 75%)
WTA win / loss 1981: 0 / 1 (0% / 100%)

* won a total of 24 (!!!) Belgian titles:

I've never seen (a picture of) her

Never ever heard about her since some days ago....when Ph51 mentionned her somewhere else in a thread (Your fave Belgian in GM I think)

But 1975 and 1979 were great years for her

C'mon Belgians

She's in one of the books I have at home... well "books" it's not really a book, but it's not a magazine either... but there's a biography inside of it about every "pro" belgian tennis player from the 20's century

I have a book about Belgian Tennis
It seems that she is/was Domi Monami's big example... She had the same kind a flat forehand as Dominique ... She reached the quarters of the AO when they were still played on grass

Yeah, probably
but I would call that a book, not a magazine, no ?
Well, I read it like 5 times it was published before the Kim-Justine era, so there is only a very small chapter on them... I like the book, though... some nice 'inside story's'

Could anyone give me the references of that book / magazine. It would be very helpful for my website (especially for older players for which nearly no info is available on the net)?

Thx
