Question Dominique/Kim vs. Sabine/Justine?

I noticed that most people who prefered Dominique over Sabine also prefer Kim over Justine and those who prefered Sabine also prefer Justine.

Does that count for you too and why is that? Is it because there are similarities between Dominique and Kim/Sabine and Justine?

Damn lol, sorry but i prefered Domi over Sabine and i prefer JuJu over Kim, so your statement isn't working for me.

I never really liked Sabine because she was so mediageil, but of course some people might say she was extremely accessible lol . I always preferred Domi because in the beginning she was the underdog in the Sabine-Dominique battle.

I think the same might count for JuJu - Kim, maybe i just root for the underdogs. But i don't really like the powertennis that Kim plays. I prefer the finesse of Justine.

So well hmm that's it.

Yes, I am like carot I prefer Domi over Sabine and Justine over Kim!

I always thought Domi had more finesse than power which is why I loved her and Justine the same way.

I liked Dominique and now it's Kim.

Sabine's glory time was before I started following tennis and Kim is my all time favourite.

My all time fav is Dominique. So I like her over Sabine, who was to mediageil like Carot said.

And I like Kim over Justine.

I think I have it more for the player who plays unpredictible tennis and plays more flat over the net.

I don't think Sabine was 'mediageil'. She was always nice to the media, always ready to give an interview. I only saw her refuse an interview once and that was during Fed Cup 1998 against France when she lost both singles matches. She appeared in several shows on TV but that was because she was asked and she was asked because most people like her. She never did anything just to get attention from the media.

Dominique on the other hand was quite 'catty' at times. She regularly refused interviews. After her marriage, when she changed her name to Van Roost she even decided not to talk to the French-speaking media anymore because they still called her Monami.

They were two different personalities, Sabine was the more open, always friendly one while Dominique was the more closed, catty one.

I agree with that Josh. I don't think Sabine is/was 'mediageil'. She was Most Beautiful Player On the Tour (in '98 I think). Beautiful people who can tennis just get much attention of course. Just look at Anna.

Sabine just loved to talk to the press, she is/was always so delighted after a victory and that was great to see. While Dominique didn't show that much..she kept the same expression and didn't want to tell everything to anyone. It's her way of dealing with that of course. But I prefer Sabine

Damn.

I'm missing Dominique. She's my all-time favourite.
She was lovelly to watch in all aspects. First of all her great fighting spirit. Second when she had her day (when her service was working) she could blew everybody of the court (including the top players).

I preferred her above Sabine.
Today I prefer Jsutine above Kim. Maybe because in both case the flemish media are pay to much attention to the flemish players. Don't get me wrong. I'm lemish too. But it's a feeling that the flemish media should be more neutral.
Example. On the Brilliant game the canvas commentator was saying Kim deserved to be Sports woman of the year because she ended 2 places higher than Justine. So therefore she had palyed better he said. Maybe he forgot to say that Justine was ranked 45 and Kim 18 at the beginning of the year. I'm not making a comment about whos better but the commentator shouldn't do that with such stupid facts.

Allez, Come-on, ...,
