Re: Fed Cup 2010

Will Justine play?

Daniilidou. Venus. Azarenka. Halep. Wickmayer.
Cornet. Ivanovic. Vesnina.. Vaidisova. Krajicek.
Paszek. Begu. Cirstea. Lisicki. Pavlyuchenkova.
Pironkova. Stephens. Tatishvili. McHale. Flipkens.
Grammatikopoulou ~ Papamichail ~ Sakkari
I'm obsessed with the Greek players. Deal with it.

Re: Fed Cup 2010

It's a pity Justine won't play. Belgium used to be unbeatable when Kim and Justine were both playing in the team. But Kim and Yanina is good. Kim said she thought long and hard about whether to play in the Fed Cup in 2010 and then decided she would. With Justine not playing - I bet the fact that Yanina was playing was a deciding factor. Thank goodness they've suspended that ban and Yanina is back in. Otherwise I couldn't blame Kim if she were to have second thoughts.

Caroline Wozniacki

Chris Evert, Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters

I think last time Ula Radwanska wasn't in the team...

Andrea Petkovic - Sara Errani - Jarka Gajdosova - Alizé Cornet

She might still play. She is still planning her schedule. I hope she decides to play, that would be some team.

Ah it would be awesome if she did. I thought I read somewhere it was too early in the comeback which would be understandable. If Belgium could win their way into World Group I for 2011 and have Kim, Justine, Yanina & Kirsten - wow what a team that would be!

Good Luck: Belgian & Czech Girls

By her choice? or non-selection? It'd be odd if she was available but not selected as she is 2nd ranked Polich player and the Radwanska sisters are only Polich top 100 players.

Good Luck: Belgian & Czech Girls

Well it's definite. Justine has now made up her mind and decided she won't play the first Fed Cup tie against Poland. http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/te...Fed_Cup__.html.

Pity but we've got Kim and Yanina. That's much stronger than those ties a few years ago when Justine did not play. In 2005 - I remember Kim somehow managed to singlehandedly beat Argentina to keep Belgium in WG1. And in 2006 both Kim and Flipper won their matches to beat USA in the Semi Final when Justine pulled out. It was a tragedy that Kim got injured before the USO and the Fed Cup Final that year and realistically Belgium needed a healthy Kim and Justine to stand any chance of actually winning the Fed Cup.

But now - Kim and Yanina is a pretty good team.

Caroline Wozniacki

Chris Evert, Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters
