I reckon she'll add quite a lot of UK followers during the rest of the French and Wimbledon - most people don't tend to watch much women's tennis other than that in Britain, as it's really not in a suitable time zone, and not shown on widely available channels, unlike RG and Wimbledon.
Yeh if she does well at Wimbledon she'll massively gain followers.
The reason she was trending in the UK was because ITV were showing her match, so when BBC comes around for Wimbledon she'll gain more twitter exposure.
well that's because it's drama. If she had won with the Miami scoreline then noone would've given two fucks.
But the fact the defending champion had just eaten a bagel was newsworthy to neutral tennis observers
It is a compliment. Nick wouldn't just slate Masha because he coached her as a junior.
He's basically saying the way she plays is instinctive - to hit the ball as hard as she can. She even said in her post-SF presser that she doesn't go on the court to just rally, she looks to dominate with her aggressive play
