Re: Jelena's Schedule II

After Asia Jelena entered Linz and Luxembourg but is like 10 places out of MD in both.

Really disappointing she's stuck in Q for those 2 seasonending indoors tournaments...

Re: Jelena's Schedule II

I have a feeling we're going to see a great end to the season if Jelena sticks to her schedule.

Daniela Hantuchova.

Casey Dellacqua, Jelena Jankovic, Anna-Lena Groenefeld,
Jelena Dokic, Mirjana Lucic, Sara Tomic, Sloane Stephens
Melanie Oudin, Kiki Bertens, Kaia Kanepi, Alison Riske

Re: Jelena's Schedule II

Here we go again.
Just call it a season instead of withdrawing from every tournament that's left.

Re: Jelena's Schedule II

Hopefully Louise Pleming will be at her throat trying to make her play as much as she can. It would be such a waste to let all her fitness work go down the toilet, although I guess she needs preserve the shoulder...

Re: Jelena's Schedule II

I'm afraid Jelena has already withdrawn from Tokyo.

Re-injured shoulder in USO?

She's probably avoiding the whole Asian swing and focusing on Euro indoor season, where she is capable of some great results on a fast surface. She was dismal in Asia last year anyway.

Makes sense to me. Her shoulder was very far from good in the US Open and it makes no sense to play until it's fully healed. It's the sort of compicated injury that could drag on into next season if she doesn't take care of it now. Anyone else notice that Beth Mattek, also trying to recover from a shoulder injury, has also been withdrawing from events? The two of them are in the same boat, unfortunately.
