what are some XWTA records that players would rather not be remembered for :ignore:
Na Li - only player to lose 2 Grand Slam finals from one set up
Shuai Peng - ranked as high as SEWTA #13 despite never advancing to the QF of a Grand Slam or winning any tournament
Sara Errani - highest ranked player ever to be golden setted
Aggie Radwanska - only winner of XWTA Miami PM 1000 to never win a Grand Slam

Choking to the same player in different slams while a set up?

That Henin retirement could be the single worst act of shame in the history of sports.
This is the lowest record a player could carry on.
Na badly rolled her ankle TWICE and still continued

I agree that it was really despicable. She could have soldiered through 4 more games to let Amelie get the win. Justine might be one of the most talented players in history, but she lacked sportsmanship and that really taints her legacy.

Entered an ITF 25k, four months after being seeded #23 at a Grand Slam. :crying2:

I'm glad Justine retired in that Australian final. Did we really need to see another 4 games of that match?
You know a match is bad when you win a set 6-1 hitting 1 winner, short nervy nothing balls and a boatload of errors to your opponent's 2 winners and shipload of errors. I'm sure Justine would have stayed out there if her opponent was actually capable ending points with winners, instead of dragging it out and making her stomach ulcer worse.

I don't know how you can keep defending her complete lack of professionalism and sportsmanship, but whatever.

I wonder if Na is the only play to lose from a set up and 6-2 in the tiebreaker twice within a year
And another one for Hingis: most times consecutively seeded #1 at a slam without winning one: RG 1999-USO 2001.

Ana becoming first #1 player ever to lose in R2 of Grand slam (USO 2008)... Am I right?

I'm afraid not. Hingis (sorry again) lost twice in R1 of Wimby as #1, I guess there're other R2 losses of #1s.

Has anyone lost as many grand slam finals as Venus; between 2002 RG and 2003 Wimbledon she lost 5 slam finals including 4 consecutive.

Do you mean in total, or just four in a row? If you mean total number of Slam finals lost, then no, she doesn't have the record. Not by a long shot.
I'm not sure about anyone else losing four Slam finals in a row.

Lindsay Davenport never won doubles at AO but was runner-up 6 times
. One win there would've got her the career slam in doubles

Serena, Na and Agnieska all failed to reach a Slam QF for the second straight time.
Must be a record?
