Arrow Prediction : Tanasugarn vs Daniilidou

vs

Head to Head record : First meeting

Win-Loss record on grass
Tammy : 32-18(64%) from 1996-2003 (runner up Birmingham 2000 and reached R16 consecutive FIVE year in Wimby)
Eleni : 20-4(83%) from 2001-2003 (winner 's-Hertogenbosch 2002)

This is first meeting of 2 players. Eleni has an exciting game to watch, she has amazing win-loss record (83%) Last year she beated 3 great players (MAURESMO, HENIN-HARDENNE, DEMENTIEVA) to win the title in 's-Hertogenbosch. I'm pretty sure today Tammy will be playing nothing to lose, she also has confident playing on grass.

The better girls will win.

C'mon Tammy.
Good luck Eleni.

This will be a very fast paced match, with both girls eager to finish the point off quick. Don't expect long rallies!

Both of them love grass, it's their best surface by far, and honestly I think its 50/50. If Eleni was playing much better tennis at the moment, I'd pick her in a heartbeat, but she's been struggling and to beat Tammy on grass you need to be pretty darn ready..

Eleni should hopefully prevail...if she does, this will be an exciting opportunity for her - facing Maleeva in the semis and probably Dementieva in the final!

GOOD LUCK ELENI...it's the 12th seed at Wimbledon which is riding on this!

I think this is going to be Tammy's toughest match to date.
Tammy is in really good form, she really proved something against Lisa Raymond.
By this tournaments form, I think Tammy will win in three and I hope she does. But by no means will I be surprised if Danilidou wins, she is a great player.
Good Luck Tammy!

I think Tammy will still have some adrenalin from her win over Lisa--stolen from the DFS site:

"Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn got her revenge on doubles specialist Lisa Raymond, who she lost to in the final here three years ago, with a convincing 6-2 6-2 win.

“ 'Grass is a surface when if you’re confident and you’re rolling, you roll and it’s easier to string matches together. She didn’t do anything wrong today ' said Raymond."

I think if Tammy can get off to a quick start and break Eleni's serve, she will build a lot of confidence to carry her through to the SF. She also likes to come back from behind, but I'd rather she have a repeat performance of the Raymond QF match! Go, Tammy, go!

Rose,
Long time no see. How have you been ?
I heard from Khun Tum (Pranomkorn) that you've already got a job in Japan. Congratulation !!!!

Tammy in three. Its a pretty bad draw for both of them, i think this would be a final if they were on opposite sides of the draw.
