I've expected another win, but she was close, we can't be mad at her

Re: Ana Konjuh

For what it's worth, Vekic lost her first two pro singles matches. She didn't win her first one until she was 14 years and 10 months old. That's exactly Ana's age currently.

Of course, it would be totally unreasonable to expect anyone else to have as meteoric a rise as Vekic has had. I'm sure Ana will progress nicely at her own pace.

Re: Ana Konjuh

Some nice photos, I agree, but overall a very sad article about two sisters fighting on court, one watching courtside with her father and one lying in a hospital bed. Some of the photos show Ana's sister breaking down in tears towards the end of the match, which is mentioned in the article. A really horrible situation for the family - wish them all the best.

Re: Ana Konjuh

Aw. So the article is about Ana's ill sister. What's written in the article?
I still can't believe Ana is going through this. I wish her sister will be fine.

Re: Ana Konjuh

OMG So Sad
She really shouldn't be playing. She is only 14
I really hope that her sister gets better She was a promising Junior as well, with a CH of 89

Re: Ana Konjuh

It says nothing. It says they won their doubles match, and that Andrea cried. Croatian "press" is horrible. 99% of articles are written on the level of the lowest gossip rags. The most brilliant sentence in the article says: "Their fourth sister, who is in the hospital in Zagreb is in the thoughts of all, not just her family" What exactly is the point of this sentence or the title of this article? It's like some old gossipy woman wrote it.
Anyway I wish Ana best of luck in singles and doubles!
