Right--I forgot the point from qualies. She also gets a point from R1 Casablanca last week, right?

If so, she'll go from 868 to around 725--a jump of almost 150 spots.

Re: Ana Konjuh

Great quarter
Manon isn't bad but Ana should win even in bad form while Zec Peskiric and Irigoyen are typical journey women who are definitely defeatable

Re: Ana Konjuh

Horrible, but not unexpected, since they said some time ago that the shoulder is not at 100%. It would be easier to make conclusions if we'd be given more info, specifics about what's going on or what's been done about it. I can't really recall players who've struggled with a shoulder injury so don't know what to think about it (Venus had issues with wrists, DelPo with a hip, while elbows or ankles are typical for tennis, but I haven't heard about many cases involving shoulders). Oh well, there's nothing we can do except hope for the best. Keep up the spirits Ana

Re: Ana Konjuh

IMO It would be best if she would give w.o today and try to get few days of rest before RG

Re: Ana Konjuh

This seems like career threatening injury bc it is not really normal to have shoulder injuries so young.
Sharapova had to change her game bc of shoulder injury and she was never the same as before.

You're right, don't know how I could've forgoten about that. Obviously (and logically) big hitters suffer from shoulder problems more often (unless one's name is Serena).

Re: Ana Konjuh

This seems like something that will not go away...
There are some things she may have to do like use a lighter racket(or at least with a more favourable balance) or adjust her technique, but for some reason I keep on thinking about surgery

Re: Ana Konjuh

I have similar opinion, probably they're just postponing the surgery until the end of the season, let's just hope that no more damage will be done...Such a shame, she could've been a TOP 200 by now...

Re: Ana Konjuh

Good! Anyway, as for the shoulder. Maybe the break could be good after junior Wimbledon.
So far no reason to stop.

Next round Zec Peskiric or Andrei who defeated her in Antalya in last year semis, great job
