Ok guys I followed this girls developement for quite a few months now.
Last month she won the European Junior Championships, Pilzen for girls under 14.
Other success she had this year:
Winner of G16 Junior Croatia Open, Cakovec
Winner of G14 Mladost Grill Open, Zagreb
Winner of G16 Kvarner Open, Rijeka
Also reaching a G16 final in AvignonFR and a couple of SFs.
This year she has a win-loss record of 48-7 currently. With those 4 titles.
She seems to be highly talented, there´s a lot of potential, hope she´s not going to fade away and go her way.
Of her last 10 matches (doubles included) 7 went into the 3rd set, and only 1 out of the remaining three was a win, while the only three set loss came in doubles.
Friedsam was serving for the set at 5:2, now she will serve to stay in the set (5:6). Overall, I'd say this scenario can't be bad for Ana. Just let them play a loooong one
Not really a surprise. Good luck Ana, you'll need it tomorrow - Cepelova is not bad lately. If Ana could pull out what Ana Vrljic did in Istanbul (7:6 in the 3rd) it would be her first win over a top 100 player outside of Fed Cup. But we have to agree this has already been a great week for Ana. I'm OK with pretty much anything tomorrow, except maybe a double breadstick or worse
And more importantly, all of tomorrow's matches are on court 3 which had the cameras on earlier in the week! Now we just have to find some links (all help is appreciated)!
This tv station covered the tournament a few days ago so who knows. I tried finding some info on their website but my Arabic is not what it used to be...jk, I don't know a word of course
well done for ana, she has such amazing fighting spirit and mental toughness... i wish she could play less more rollercosters and comeback matches... but for 15y old she is amazing
