Re: Ana Konjuh

Between the Konjuh, Mrdeza, Vekic and Fed Cup threads, I feel like I'm seeing all the posts this week in quadruple

Needless to say, I'll be posting this on the other three threads

Re: Ana Konjuh

Wonderful that she got to play with such a good doubles player in her very first Fed Cup match, it must've been quite an experience. Don't know if doulbes events would count towards Ana's limited number of tournaments allowed, but if they wouldn't I'd encourage her to play at least some doubles, cause her skills are obviously too good to waste. Austrians are not bad in doubles, both ranked around 150, not to mention much more experienced but our girls really gave them a lesson

Speaking of Ana, she is also oftentimes mentioned during live broadcasts from Zagreb Indoors, which is currently underway. Our commentator is always joined by one of our former pro's, and they can't praise Ana enough. Ivanisevic said that she has incredible power and skill, and that when she is on it's ridiculous to watch her in a junior match. But also when she's off, she is good good enough to make a win, he added. Ivo Karlovic today in an interview after his match was also asked about Ana and said that they share a fitness coach and that he often praises Ana for her physical abilities. Karlovic also said that if she doesn't turn into a top 5 tennis pro, it'll be a proof to the fact that he doesn't know anything about tennis.

Those are some nice things to say. Hope Ana was notified

Also, Zeljko Krajan (former Safina- now Robson's couch) sad few day ago in one interview that he thinks that Sloan Stephens, Laura Robson, Donna Vekic and Ana Konjuh will be 4 girls that will rule the women tennis in near future.

Karlovic also sad that Ana can lift up on the bench almost more then he can

Re: Ana Konjuh

Someone should calm down.
The fact she's good now doesn't mean how good she'll bee in 5 years.
We keep fingers crossed but life teaches us not to expect too much.

Ana beat Kvatsabaia (top 500 player) 60 60 in her first Fed Cup singles match. Well done

Re: Ana Konjuh

Ana

Kvatsabaia already has final this year in both singles and doubles (10K Antalya), so she isn't that bad
