Monica really couldn't ask for more than that. Hard not to be be optimistic about Monica's chances in this match up.

Your bad feeling was wrong

Anyway, Monica will play Zakopalova. Interestingly, these two have never played each other.

BARBIE
is coming for your towel, too.

Yeah, I never know what to expect from a match with Monica, when she plays an established opponent who she hasn't met before. Both girls are absolutely at the top of their games right now I would say so it should make for an intriguing encounter.

Monica in a SF and with a bit of luck maybe even more.
Saw last few games and she was very frustrated sometimes. She doesn't want to let go after a bad point.

Good for Jason. We don't want him to be half assed sitting between two chairs.

Now he can fully commit himself to Queen Monica.

Well done Moni
Nice line up for the semi against two players in good form.

Andrea Petkovic - Sara Errani - Jarka Gajdosova - Alizé Cornet

Bitch !

I think the fact that they have never played each other will help Monica more. Klara may have a harder time adapting to Monica's game because of its uniqueness. On the other hand Klara's game is quite classic, nothing that could catch the Queen by surprise.

That said, Klara doesn't strike me as the kind of player who would be totally unable to deal with Monica's junk. I mean, she's not Safarova. She's good on both sides, she can rally but has the ability to hit winners as well.

But who knows which Klara will turn. Hopefully the moody and unmotivated one.

Re: The Amazing and Remarkable Monica Niculescu

First time I'm watching this week. This looks like the same surface Beijing is played on and we know what Monica is capable of on the holy ground of the 5th slam.

Re: The Amazing and Remarkable Monica Niculescu

Not much

1-6 3-6

Zakopalova was on fire right from the beginning of the match. She simply got outplayed, but still some nice rallies between them here and there. Scoreline could have been closer if Monica coverted her BPs in the 1st set.

Good week already.

WTA Horbart, Main Draw:

(1)Hsieh v Peng
Niculescu v Q
Jovanovski v Medina Garrigues
Flipkens v (6)Schiavone

Another great draw. SF more than possible.

Yeh not that surprised, Klara is far from stupid, just mentally weak at times.

Not sure if that draw is great, except for R1.

Re: The Amazing and Remarkable Monica Niculescu

Compared to the other quarters, the first one is a walk in the park.

Really she's been another player since stretching Pova at the FO.
