Last I checked Amélie was a girl. Those are my words crogirl posted and I wouldn't put them on the website unless I was positive.

Check the thread in GM. It's been confirmed...

Amélie Mauresmo, 2009 GDF Suez, 2007 Proximus Diamond Games, 2006 World No. 1 ,Wimbledon Champion, Proximus Diamond Games, Gaz, Australian Open, 2005 YEC, Advanta Chamionships, Italian Open, Proximus Diamond Games, 2004 World No. 1, Advanta Championships, Generali Linz, Rogers Cup, Italian Open, German Open, 2003 J&S Cup, Advanta Championships, 2002 Rogers AT&T Cup, Dubai Open, 2001 Gaz, Nice, Amelia Island, and Eurocard Ladies German Open, 2000 Adidas International, and 1999 Bratislava Champion

There's a fine line between love and hate; that line is called family!

No one does things exactly the way I want them to. No one ever has. It’s a problem they have!

I hate it when people die. I hope Amélie and her family can find strength. My deepest condolences. There's not really much more to say now.

Well, I walk into the room
Passing out hundred dollar bills
And it kills and it thrills like the horns on my Silverado grill
And I buy the bar a double round of crown
And everybody's getting down
And this town ain't never gonna be the same.
Cause I saddle up my horse and I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
Cause the girls, they are so pretty...

All
ez Amélie!

"My coach told me I had to expect, you know, some long rallies and stuff. So, you know, I was ready for this."

No no, not mad at you at all. I posted a thread in GM but didn't post in here. No problem with posting what I wrote. I just don't like my posts being questioned by Tylane as if I'd post something malicious.

You're fine *high fives cro-girl* no worries with you at all.

Mauresmo, Clijsters Cancel

By Charles Bricker
Staff Writer

March 21, 2004

KEY BISCAYNE · Kim Clijsters and Amelie Mauresmo are out of the
Nasdaq-100 Open, joining Justine Henin-Hardenne on the won't-play
list and probably Lindsay Davenport, whose closest advisers will
try one final time to get her to change her mind and come to Key Biscayne.

Failing that, the tournament will lose the top four ranked players
on the WTA Tour, giving the rusty but gifted Williams sisters a
much smoother route through the 96-player draw and giving hope
to a number of rising young Russians that they could make an impact here.

How much of an impact will be clearer after the draw is conducted
Monday afternoon. Suddenly, second-line players such as Anastasia
Myskina, Svetlana Kuznetsova and Nadia Petrova won't have to go
through four of the toughest players on the women's tour to reach the
final four.

The Mauresmo news Saturday wasn't surprising. She has been off
with a bad back since the Australian Open and last week her
father died after a sudden illness. Clijsters wanted to play and flew
to South Florida on Saturday, hoping to use the next six days to
cure a badly sprained left wrist. But after a consultation with a
medical specialist, she pulled out early Saturday evening.

Henin-Hardenne and Davenport already had declared they would
sit out the next two weeks to rest their bodies.

Mauresmo is ranked No. 3 behind Henin-Hardenne and Clijsters, the
two Belgians, with Davenport at No. 4. Mauresmo and Davenport
might change spots when the new rankings come out Monday, but
there will be no change in the names of the top four.

When the draw is pulled Monday, Serena Williams, returning to
tennis after an eight-month absence because of a knee injury,
will be seeded No. 1 with sister Venus seeded second, Myskina third
and Jennifer Capriati fourth.

But Capriati also has a bad back and, though she reportedly intends
to play, there is the issue of whether the injury could worsen or crop
up again as she tries to win five matches in seven or eight days. One
other top player, No. 9 Chanda Rubin, is recovering from injury. She has
a sprained knee but is expected to compete at Key Biscayne.

Because they're seeded one-two, the Williams sisters will be selected
to opposite ends of the draw and can only meet in a final.

Meanwhile Saturday, a few well-known players filtered onto the grounds
at Crandon Park to begin preparations for the tournament.

Carlos Moya, last year's runner-up, spent an hour training with Ivan
Ljubicic.

The two-day qualifying tournaments begin Monday. Admission is $5.
The Web site for the tournament is www.nasdaq-100open.com.

Sorry, I didn't compare the times of the posts. I didn't worry too much about who was first, only, that the story got to those who questioned it.

It wasn't directed towards you

It's just that when someone steals someone else's post, they should at least give credit where it's due.

I agree with you Linnie 100%
But you have to understand that there are hundreds of threads about Amelie and it is almost imposible to know what`s going on in each and every one of them. So you might think something is a new thing....and it happens to be someone elses post. Didn`t something like that ever happen to you????!

The death of Amelie's father is particularly sad because, I believe, she has been estranged from her family for a few years now. I hope and pray that all concerned will be sobered by M. Mauresmo's death and see that the time to love one another is now. My heart goes out to Amelie.
